Venezuelan and Lebanese are an odd but delicious combination.
This is a casual, modestly priced diner near the USF campus with ample seating and a varied menu. There are no boring burgers here.
We had the chicken shwarma and the Venezuela arepa. Both items were flavorful, hot, and made with fresh ingredients. Portions were plentiful.
Service was fast and friendly.
The location was a little difficult to find. It's in a tiny strip mall behind an apartment building.
The unusual name Are-pita is a combination of arepa and pita -- two mainstays on the menu. Both are favorite foods of the owner.
Cons: only one. There was an odd smell that offset the delicious food aroma. Maybe from the salon next door or the AC or the bathroom? The place was very clean and tidy, so the source was not apparent.

As a Venezuelan with high standards for food, I can confidently say this restaurant serves the most authentic Venezuelan food in the area, which is why we chose them to do the catering for my wedding and the whole experience was exceptional! From the planning and coordination stage, Orselis was very patient and always available to answer all of my questions. She also accommodated all of my requests to meet my vision for the wedding, from presentation to equipment to cutlery and plates designs, etc. You can tell she truly cares about her clients. The day of the wedding, Orselis and her team did not only serve the Venezuelan food, but also served the Filipino menu to my guests and even took care of serving the cake, which we had provided separately. They were so professional, punctual, friendly and kind with everyone, and the food was so delicious my guests are still raving about it. Thank you so much for everything you did for us β₯οΈπ»πͺππΌ 100% recommended!

I have only tried the Venezuelan arepa and itβs really delicious. The price is a little too expensive in my opinion and so are the beverages. They seemed very nice people and the restaurant was clean and neat.

Great food, excellent environment, warm and friendly folks. My husband and I came across this restaurant as we were driving in the plaza deciding where to eat. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left the staff was absolutely amazing. Janet was super helpful, friendly and patient with us as we took our time in deciding on what to order. Their food is FANTASTICALLY delicious, wonderfully balanced and flavorful. The preparation was done with attentiveness to details - just look at the photos! Their falafel was delicious and the pulled chicken platter was full of flavor. Highly recommend this restaurant you won't be disappointed! πππ
