The best Indian food we have had in Tampa Bay. The aroma when the dishes were served was an olfactory delight. Both the Dal Makhani and Saag Double Tadka were 2 of the most flavorful dishes we have ever had of any style of cuisine. The garlic naan was a perfect complement to the meal.

Took my daughter to dinner, the food was delicious! The staff/ owner was very pleasant and took the time to explain the dishes on the menu. I am not familiar with Indian food but I wanted to give it a shot, so the extra time he took with us to point out what each dish consisted of and the spice level was incredible. I was able to enjoy a vegetarian dish while my daughter was able to enjoy what she prefers. The portions were large so we were able to take some home.
They also have a market next door which was my original destination to purchase herbs. The staff/ owner ( I wish I’d asked his name) was so helpful and pleasant which is what led me to ask about the restaurant. I’m glad I did!

Our food was so flavorful and perfect portion sized. A really great value and some to take home after. The spice levels are perfect and all the sauces are very well made and tasty. The service was friendly and fast too!

The food was excellent! Service is exceptional and super hospitable. We started with the onion/chili dosa which reminded us of a great Indian breakfast place we had been to in Texas.
Dinner we each had a curry (he had curry original with added onions and peppers, I had the cashew curry sauce ) . Flavorful and tasty!
They have mocktails , outdoor seating and an Indian grocery store adjacent. Regulars for life!

Disappointing experience. Rubbish in the biriyani.
I wish I could rate this place lower than one star. My experience at Deccan Spice/ Sacred Spice was a complete disaster. We ordered a biryani, expecting a flavorful dish, but what we got was far from it. The food tasted terrible, like it had been sitting out for hours. To make matters worse, as we were eating, we discovered a piece of rubber glove in the biryani! Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. This is a serious health hazard and shows a lack of hygiene in their kitchen. I should have listened to my friends' warnings. Many of them had told me about their own bad experiences at Sacred Spice/Deccan Spice, but I thought I might be able to enjoy the food despite their warnings. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The quality of the food and the hygiene standards at this restaurant are severely lacking. Save yourself the disappointment and avoid this place at all costs. I've attached pictures as proof of our experience.
