Pros: great food, highest quality south Asian food in Tampa hands down. The owner is excellent and very friendly.
Cons: the service and attitude can be better, I had dirty plates on our table for the duration of my time there. The owner did mention that he is in the process of hiring a full time staff, so hopefully we'll see what happens.
The M-Th lunch is of the highest quality, the food is spiced just right and the sauces are very very authentic to taste.
Fri-Sun they have a late lunch buffet from 1130-530. The quality of the buffet is a hit or miss. See the attached photos, the fresh made food especially the tandoori is perfect, however the chili chicken was sitting out for a while so it was a bit dry.
Again I think this place has the ability to be top notch. The owner is very friendly and is looking to really expand on his NY brand. I'm thinking the small issues will get resolved with time. I'll be back again for the regular lunch soon!

Update: New Management April 2022.
The Bangladeshi family owner had health issues I believe and were struggling to manage staffing. Now Pakistani owner Mr. Syed from Miami owns it and has vast experience and had multiple restaurants in Miami. Beef Nihari and naan were on point. Super friendly family style service. Will be back soon to try other items. Order & pay at the counter.

Catering by Famous Kabab of Tampa! Best Bangladeshi catering service in the area! Top notch food quality and service!!! The Biriyanis are awesome! The mutton curry and karahi are mind blowing!!! All in all... Finger licking good!!!

I went for the $12.99 Sunday lunch buffet. At 2 pm we were the only people in the restaurant. The food looked passable, but there were empty tables with dirty plates.
It's one of the few halal options so we stayed. The food was tasty, I was disappointed there were no kababs in the buffet at a place called Famous Kabab.
I had to ask for fresh naan before they replaced it, same with goat, but it was very tasty. They also had tandoori chicken, butter chicken, fried fish, chole, biryani, and a few other veggies.

Great tasting food and variety of choices. I recommend people who are looking for taste of home should give this restaurant a try. They won't be disappointed.
