It is with a heavy heart I write this review. My mom and I came in here two weekends in a row and both times were left disappointed. First weekend we ordered and split the Caesar salad, which was a good portion size but I wasn’t the biggest fan of the dressing as it was more of a vinaigrette. Then our entrees came out, my mom got the eggplant Parmesan, which she thought was good! My dish however, the chicken sorrentino, was lackluster at best. First the presentation was not appetizing, but more important was the lack of flavor. The dish was about half breading and took over all of the flavor. The Demi glacé, which always makes me very excited, was flavorless, and not even the mozzarella was enough to add other elements to the dish. My angel hair pasta was over cooked to the point of being soggy and was drenched in olive oil and garlic. I couldn’t eat it. There was no salt, and it was so greasy. I will admit that my leftovers tasted much better the next day (excluding pasta), as it seemed they had marinated a little more. Considering I had never heard of this dish, I had hoped it was a house specialty. We decided to try it again the next weekend because hey, one bad dish doesn’t ruin the whole experience and we were craving a local made pizza. This is what made us decide we will mot be going back. We ordered a margarita pizza. It came out and looked nothing like a regular margarita pizza. There was way too much cheese and it had already hardened to the crust. The 9 huge sliced tomatoes on it were what you would find on a burger, not the plump acidic kind that you expect from real Italian food. The water from them was making the crust soggy, which only added to how gross it tasted. Even the basil was wilted because it had been cooked on top instead of being placed on after to get the full fragrant flavor you expect from this kind of pizza. We took two bites and had to flag down our server for a replacement, as it was simply inedible. We instead got a split chicken piccata because that is a known favorite between us and even that was unimpressive. I was happy with the Alfredo sauce on the pasta it came with but the actual piccata sauce itself was thick with flour, not really buttery or creamy and again not really appetizing. It was heavily acidic and considering I love acidic food, was too much even for me, but at least this dish was edible. The staff seemed disorganized as a team and our servers got the job done each time but did not give us the care that a mom and pop place should provide. I do really like the atmosphere as it gives local Italian eatery but other than the garlic bread it has no redeeming qualities for me. I am sad to have to write such a negative review for a locally owned restaurant in my hometown. I can only hope that management sees this and works on improving the flavor and presentation of the food

Gino's is a delightful combination of a great neighborhood spot and one of the best Italian restaurants in the city. Top notch Italian food or go more casual (pizza, burgers rings, etc) all in a really cool small Italian restaurant ambiance. For us standouts on the menu are the sausage sautéed in lemon juice/white wine/butter, the Marsala dishes and anything covered in their gorgonzola sauce (sometimes can be a little strong so be sure you like that cheese). The tiramisu we have been told is made on site and it's fantastic.
Tonight Amy was our server and she was just the best. Highly recommended.

GINO’s Restaurant & Bar offers a cozy and intimate atmosphere, despite its small size. The Italian-themed decor adds to the charm, creating a warm and inviting space for diners to enjoy their meals.
I must say, the food at GINO’s Restaurant & Bar exceeded all expectations. It was a true 10/10 experience, and we were pleasantly surprised by the authenticity of the Italian cuisine. We took advantage of the Tuesday wine special, with glasses priced at $5 each. Additionally, we ordered a kids’ pasta, which was surprisingly generous in size. All the main courses we tried were equally impressive, and the option to add a Caesar salad for an extra $5 or the soup of the day for $4 was a nice touch. We sampled the lasagna, pasta zitti, and jumbo ravioli, all of which came with delicious bread on the side. The portions were so generous that we couldn’t finish everything on our plates.
Considering the quantity and quality of the food, as well as the inclusion of a glass of wine, the price per person was incredibly reasonable, coming in at under $25. This is exceptional value for money, especially for authentic Italian cuisine.
Overall, GINO’s Restaurant & Bar is a place we will definitely be returning to. It truly transported us to Italy with its authentic flavors and generous portions. If you’re in the area, this is a must-try dining destination.

Get the Italian wedding 🍲 soup.
The fried calamari is great & I had the seafood fra'diavlo. Their house bread is more addictive than the biscuits at Red Lobster & taste 100x better. The waitresses that I've dealt with have the best attitudes & are super sweet, so tip them well. I've never had the pizza, but I bet it's good because their marinara sauce is great. So go there and treat yourself to a nice meal or bring the family & splurge on a good time with food & drinks. Great place. I'm a native of Long Island New York & this place can hang with the flavors & ambiance.
