Love coming here. Amy is always so sweet and knowledgeable. She never rushes you and let's you ask all the questions you need to ask in order to understand. Kierra at the front is super friendly and welcoming. You feel like she's inviting you in to her home when you come in. This office is always willing to work with me and my schedule. I had to leave to pick up my son from daycare and they quickly rescheduled and were so nice. I've also brought my baby in to the office because I didn't have a babysitter and the whole staff took turns watching him for me. LOVE coming here. You feel like family

This is based on my experience several years ago but it still bothers me so I must share. I was adamantly told that I needed a root canal and crown. I’ve had one cavity/ filling ever in my 33 years of life so this came as a shock to me. She even tried to show me on an X-ray where my tooth was supposedly rotted, however I am not trained in reviewing X-rays so there’s no way for me to trust what she said. I was very upset. The severity of a root canal and crown is no joke to me. Once they take out that tooth and grind it down, you are never getting that tooth back and you have to deal with the maintenance for life. So, I chose to go back to my childhood dentist in St Pete (Jeff Scott Dentistry) which I had stopped going to out of the inconvenience of driving that far. Dr Scott told me that all I needed was the filling replaced as this was a filling I got as a teenager and they need replacing every ten years. Well, guess what? That was several years ago and I’ve had no problems. Basically, do not tell people they need to remove their teeth if it is not necessary to do so. I am so happy I didn’t go through with removing MY tooth and just drove the 45 minutes to St Pete to have a second opinion.

I just had the most amazing dental appointment ever. Everyone was super nice and the office was beautiful. I give a special BZ to Megan, Abel and Dr Gonzales as they were very thorough and informative. I will definitely make Hensen Family Dental my go to dentist from now on.

10/10 best dentist office in Tampa bay! Amazing staff. They will make you feel very comfortable and at home! Dr Gonzales is an amazing doctor. 10/10 would recommend having any dental work done here. Pain free and amazing customer service

I am so glad I found Henson Family Dental. I’ve had poor experiences in past with other dentists and was apprehensive going to a new provider. But they really go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and informed. The front desk staff is welcoming and very kind, Teresa helped me today when I was running a bit behind due to an emergency and helped get me fit in with no hesitation. The rest of the staff is also so sweet, always big smiles and warm welcomes when I come in. They are informative, helpful and not pushy when talking over choices or decisions to make and I love that they are very honest about what things HAVE to be done for my health vs if a treatment can wait or how long if I need to move things around for finances. They have turned around my past negative experiences despite those not being related to them. And my teeth are much healthier!
