Ordered off of UberEATS, but if this is what their food is like, I wouldn't even bother dining in, because this was just disrespectful. I ordered jerk chicken and jerk pork, pictured below. The chicken was baked, swimming in it's juices, and didn't taste anything like jerk. The pork was also obviously made in the oven, and had the texture of pulled/mojo pork, with, I'm guessing, the "jerk" portion coming from some sauce they scooped over the top. Which would have been fine, except, when I say that a simple bite of that sauce contained enough salt to satisfy your daily sodium intake, I'm barely be exaggerating. It was atrocious and horrible, and had been covering enough of the rice and cabbage that now, nearly the entire plate was inedible. And it didn't taste anything like jerk. I am going to try and make a big pot of bland rice to mix the pork in the hopes that it will dilute the salt to make this at least edible, but I can't recommend staying away from this place enough, at least until at least one person working here as the foresight to taste the food that they're serving for simple quality control. The only thing I can say positive is that the portions are nice - although I'm feeling like it's only because they gave me the stuff they wouldn't dare to serve to someone who ate in. The rice and peas were also nice, if not oddly devoid of peas. If you're looking for jerk, just look elsewhere.
I took my cousin to this restaurant because theyhave been good in the past but idk what happened today. I never had the jerk pasta and my cousin ordered the jerk pasta and it was disgusting. I feel so bad offering that place to her and it was a pure disappointment . Idk whoever was cooking that day and made the executive descision to send that out but it was not a good choice. And then there is a sign of no refunds so i asked them for rice and peas for her and even that was a disappointment.
I’m highly disappointed I’ve eaten here about 4 other times and I was ok. I ordered curry shrimp and grits the morning, super excited cause it’s my favorite breakfast. I got it home and took y first bite of shrimp and a little bit of grits. I couldn’t help but choke and spit it out immediately. It was like drinking coffee and tasting salt!! I didn’t know if there was too much salt or maybe vinegar. ALOT OF IT!! I could get the taste out of my mouth. I didn’t taste any curry at all it didn’t smell like curry. .. I have to say it truly was terrible
We just got back from the Bahamas and wanted an authentic Tropical Conch Salad. After searching everywhere we found Island Crew Restaurant. What a find!! This will be our new spot to come to whenever we are in the mood for some amazing Island food!! We got the Conch Salads, Fried Conch with a side of Garlic Potatoes and Sweet Plantains. Absolutely delicious!!
It's gone downhill. Sad I used to go frequently. The counter person acted as if she didn't care. Watered down cabbage with no flavor. When Jerk chicken is made properly its dry. Mine was swimming in grease. So disappointing. Won't be back.
