A good place to eat in the Tampa area
According to the web, the Mission Barbeque Brand …” is an American barbecue restaurant chain based in Glen Burnie, Maryland”. Two people (Kraus and Newton) opened the first location on September 11, 2011, as a way to support the military, police, firefighters, and first responders. As of April 2023 there were 95 of these restaurants in the United States. All of the locations that I have been to have the same basic layout. You order and pay at one end of a counter and when your name is called, you pick up your food. The seating is wooden booths around the edge of the inner dining room with tables in the middle. Drinks are a serve-yourself affair right after the counter. First responders and military memorabilia line the walls. Food is served on metal trays and, obviously centers around barbeque. Each table has 6 barbeque sauces to choose from offering a variety of tastes for the customer. The food at this location was delicious. I had fries and a BBQ sandwich with tea. The staff was nice and the dining room and tables were kept clean. The prices are very reasonable for the current economy—definitely a place to visit for a good meal in the area.

Decent spot to grab a quick bite of fall-off-the-bone meats and some delicious sides. Always clean and staff is very helpful. Even the lunch rush is managed well; everyone goes in and out!

First time here, probably be the last. The buns were very stale, hard and just crumbled apart, very unappetizing. Pulled pork served at room temperature. Cole slaw was uneventful, beans were not too bad.
The only really good item was the fries, but we dont go to BBQ restaurants for fries, we go to hopefully get good BBQ
I heard good things and really wanted to like it, but the food was a big let down.

5 Stars, Excellent tasting BBQ... Better than I expected for sure, everything was super tasty, cooked well and lots of flavor. The moist brisket was on point, jalapeno sausage was fantastic, pulled was juicy, and the ribs were almost perfect for competition, little more on the soft side that most consumers like. Will definitely be back.

Excellent food and the HUGE meal we had for a family of 4 and it only cost 50! Man where can you do that anymore? Food came very quick and the place was clean. We also had fun doing taste tests at the table choosing which sauce to use.
Wish we had one of theses where I live buuuuuut I would sadly then be overweight 🤣.
