Oggi Italian is my go-to when I'm looking for a great Italian meal in a casual setting in Tampa. I notice other diners giving lackluster reviews and I can't understand why. I've never had a bad meal here and I've eaten at this really nice restaurant enough times that, statistically, something SHOULD have happened. Not the case. Oggi delivers every time. The service and atmosphere are casual and the food has great portions, prepared with care. You won't go wrong with this hidden little gem.

I have been going to Oggi since I moved to Tampa in 2018. It use to be such an amazing place where the quality and environment the original owners created was such a great Italian mom and pop shop. They were so involved and the food was so authentic. The past few times I have been here since new ownership.... has been terrible. I went for my wedding anniversary on 5/20/24 and was so taken back at the changes. There was no sense of that mom and pop feeling anymore. Both my husband and I's entrees were cold to the touch. My scallops were raw raw as well as his chicken. The pasta was so bland and oily we couldn't even eat it. The broccoli on my pasta had gone bad and was brown.
There was 1 cook who kept asking the SERVERS if the food was cooked all the way. Seriously???? The only thing that was good was the bottle of wine and appetizer and that isn't saying much. For a place that charges $30-$40 an entree... this is unacceptable. Workers seemed like they didn't care at all and were on there phones or high on some type of drugs. The manager or whatever behind the bar was a complete jerk and made it a point to tell us they were closing at freaking 8:30pm We did not complain about the food or our experience just because we didn't want to deal with the headache or cause a scene I was so pissed off. For the price this place charges... you can eat at a Michelin star restaurant and have a WAY better experience and quality of food. All good things shall end, and we will not be returning to Oggi... ever again. Davis Island dining really has gone downhill.

This place has a great vibe. That is the only good thing I can say. The service was mediocre. The food was so so bad, we're not picky eaters normally, but still ate it because it was food and it was past dinner time. At +$30 a person I can't understand why, except maybe they spend all the money on the lease? Seriously the worst food we've had. What you can't see in the photos is the layer of cooking oil. This place is always packed, wish I'd read the reviews...

This place was so fun. It felt like we were in Italy. Food was excellent and everyone was friendly. We will be back for sure.

i hate to say this… but i don’t recommend coming here. the food was abysmal. my partner and i just spent $100 on food that we barely took two bites of. i actually can’t remember a time where i had food this bad. like, it’s not that it just wasn’t that good, it was actually gross. i got the gnocchi, and it was super powdery/chalky & it tasted like rotten cheese. i genuinely wonder if it went bad or something? my partner got the penne, and it was a little better, but still tasted like week old grocery store pasta at best. i’m trying to understand the good reviews, and i figure it must be because of the service and atmosphere, both of which are actually really nice. but for me i come to a restaurant to enjoy my food. and this was actually gross and a waste of money, time, and calories. i will note, the server we had was really kind & the wine was good.
